The 24-year-old Spurs midfielder has suffered three major injuries in the last year, with knee, groin and Achilles problems.

Clemence has been back in full training since the start of October and will now get his first run-out of the season at Dagenham & Redbridge's Victoria Road home when Spurs second string take on The Hammers.

Spurs reserves boss Colin Calderwood said: "Steve will be involved for the first time this season.

"He's completed a fortnight's training with the rest of the first team and he'll play for a period of the game and hopefully come through okay.

"Steve's been a Trojan in the gym. You just have your fingers crossed he can now have a sustained period of football," he told the club's official website.
