Crystal Palace take on Tottenham in the fourth round of the FA Cup on Sunday in an all-Premier League tie, with both sides gunning for a victory as they aim to carve out a cup run.

The two teams will be confident of victory in this fixture after their performances last weekend. Palace almost managed to cause an upset, losing 4-3 away to Liverpool in a thrilling encounter, whilst Tottenham needed a last-minute winner from Harry Winks to earn a 2-1 victory at Fulham before exiting the Carabao Cup on penalties to Chelsea on Thursday.

Team News

Crystal Palace have had to recall veteran shot-stopper Julian Speroni to the squad after injuries to first-team goalkeepers Vicente Guaita and Wayne Hennessey, although Roy Hodgson has no other fresh injury concerns.

It is a different story for Tottenham, who will be without Dele Alli until March after he suffered a hamstring strain in the victory at Fulham last weekend.

Dele Alli

Alli joins Harry Kane on the list of long-term absentees, with Victor Wanyama also injured and Son Heung-min away on international duty. Moussa Sissoko returned on Thursday but went off injured after colliding with Serge Aurier and is doubtful for Sunday.

Mauricio Pochettino has a selection conundrum at left back after Ben Davies and Danny Rose both suffered knocks on Thursday, so Kyle Walker-Peters may have to fill in out of position.

Predicted Lineups

Crystal Palace  Speroni; Wan-Bissaka, Tomkins, Sakho, Van Aanholt; McArthur, Kouyaté, Milivojević; Townsend, Ayew, Zaha.
Tottenham Gazzaniga; Foyth, Vertonghen, Sánchez; Walker-Peters, Winks, Eriksen, Trippier; N'Koudou, Llorente, Lamela.

Head to Head Record

The sides from opposite ends of London have already met once in the league this season. A second half header from Juan Foyth gave Tottenham a narrow 1-0 win, which has been the final score in the last six matches between Spurs and Palace.

Coincidentally, Palace's last victory against Tottenham came in the fifth round of the FA Cup in 2016 as the Eagles won 1-0, eventually finishing runners-up in the competition to Manchester United.

Palace manager Roy Hodgson will be hoping he can guide his side back to Wembley with a win on Sunday.

Recent Form

Crystal Palace have not won since beating Grimsby Town 1-0 in the previous round, losing each of their last two Premier League matches against Watford and Liverpool.

In contrast, Tottenham have won four of their past six matches in all competitions. Their first league defeat of 2019 came after an inspired performance from David de Gea guided Manchester United to a 1-0 win.

They exited the Carabao Cup after losing to Chelsea on Thursday, with the tie going to penalties after an aggregate score of 2-2.

Spurs will be desperate to lift the FA Cup in May, having been losing semi finalists in each of the past two seasons whilst Crystal Palace will be hoping to reach the fifth round for the first time since their run to the final in 2016.

Here's how each team has performed in their last five matches:

Crystal Palace Tottenham
Liverpool 4-3 Crystal Palace (19/1) Chelsea 2-1 Tottenham (24/1)
Crystal Palace 1-2 Watford (12/1) Fulham 1-2 Tottenham (20/1)
Crystal Palace 1-0 Grimsby (5/1) Tottenham 0-1 Manchester United (13/1)
Wolves 0-2 Crystal Palace (2/1) Tottenham 1-0 Chelsea (8/1)
Crystal Palace 0-1 Chelsea (30/12) Tranmere 0-7 Tottenham (4/1)

Prediction

Although the Eagles have a poor record against Mauricio Pochettino's men, a cupset may be on the cards thanks to Tottenham's injury troubles and the typically loud support of a sold out Selhurst Park.

Mamadou Sakho,Jordan Ayew

Spurs managed to beat Fulham without the goalscoring threat of Kane and Heung-min Son, but could struggle to create much in front of goal without the influential presence of Dele Alli.

Prediction: Crystal Palace 1-0 Tottenham
