Defoe's yellow card stands

Referee Steve Bennett didn't mention in his report on Sunday's match between Spurs and West Ham that Jermain Defoe crawled towards Javier Mascherano, pushed his head into the Argentinian's arm and ‘bit' it - the FA has acknowledged that.

The FA has therefore accepted the referee's description of the Tottenham striker adopting ‘aggressive behaviour', which earned him a yellow card, covered the whole incident which began after Defoe had been tripped from behind in the first half at White Hart Lane.
