Duo return for Rovers clash

Redknapp missed Spurs' 1-0 Worthington Cup victory over Cardiff City in midweek with a calf injury, while Perry has missed three games with a badly gashed knee sustained in the game with West Ham last month.

Gus Poyet, Stephen Carr, Stephen Clemence and Ledley King are back in training, but won't be ready for the clash with Rovers.

"It is positive in a sense that there are people coming back, but they are not ready for the Premiership yet," Spurs boss Glenn Hoddle told the clubs official website.

"Players like Gus, Stevie Carr and Ledley have started to train, but Ledley is playing through a little pain. We're really putting him to the test to see if he's going to need something done or whether he can come through it.

"Stephen Clemence has had his first session with Colin Calderwood's group, so there are lots of players coming back to train, but they are not quite ready for the Premiership."
