Gennaro Gattuso denies rumours of Russia move

The former Rangers midfielder - who was banned following an infamous spat with Tottenham coach Joe Jordan during Milan's 1-0 defeat at the San Siro last season - turned down an offer from Roberto Carlos' Anzhi Makhachkala last month.

And the World Cup winner, 33, has declared his intention to see out the remaining year on his contract despite his agent, Andrea D'Amico, claiming that he could move east.

Gattuso said: 'I have one year left on my contract with Milan. Milan is my home and I feel very happy in this club.

'My agent cannot decide on his own, everything has to go via me.

'I reiterate it, I am happy at Milan.'

Gattuso has played over 300 games for Milan and made 31 league appearances last season to help the Rossoneri clinch their first Scudetto since 2004.
