After Sunday's 2-0 defeat at Manchester United, Gunners boss Arsene Wenger admitted that Sol Campbell had been "fit and available for selection".
There was no space reserved for him in the squad though, as Wenger stuck with teenager Johan Djourou on bench duty for the Gunners' visit to Old Trafford.
