Spurs scraped a victory by just the one goal against Fulham at White Hart Lane on Monday night. Aaron Lennon made his second Premiership start in that game following his £1m switch from Leeds United in the summer.

“We’ve given him (Lennon) a chance because I believe if you are good enough you are old enough. It’s what a really good team like, for example, Ajax does. They throw 16 and 17-year-olds in and they do well,” Jol added in The Times.
