Kanoute Hands It To Liverpool

Yet another capacity crowd on a bitterly cold night witnessed Spurs dominate the first 80 minutes against a largely reserve Liverpool side who rarely ventured out of their own half.

Inexplicably we decided to start with Keane rather than Defoe partnering Kanoute up front which in the end cost us the match.

Kanoute managed to volley against the bar within the opening minutes which transpired to be the shape of things to come.

Keane spurned several chances as did Rohan Ricketts, Whenever Keane did get it on target Dudek made some fine saves including pushing another shot onto the bar.

Reto Zigler had a fine game and developed quite a good understanding with Atouba on the left.

Michael Carrick spent the evening “Flattering To Deceive”.

Michael Brown gave the usual %100 but probably lacks premiership finesse.

Ricketts had a so so game on the right.

The back four looked very solid for the 1st 80 minutes until we panicked a bit approaching full time.

As per the Middlesborough game, we were awful at taking penalty’s so the result was pretty much inevitable.

Oh well, roll on January, 3rd round, new players & all that.
