Afterwards the 28-year-old pointed out the experience was a totally different one from playing in the Dutch league with PSV.
He told the Evening Standard: "The Premiership is much faster than the Netherlands. The long passing and style of play is something I must get used to. I have to adapt fast. My condition is not perfect but hopefully, step by step, it will improve."
