The Foxes have been impressed by the 24-year-old goalkeeper, who has been a key player in Lazio’s season so far. With Brendan Rodgers possibly looking to bring in a new stopper, he could turn his attention to Italy when the transfer window reopens.
Leicester seem to be looking for a new long-term goalkeeper, beginning the search for the successor to Kasper Schmeichel. The Dane has been the Foxes’ number one since joining in 2011, but at 33-years-old, Rodgers could already be looking for his replacement.
Meanwhile, Tottenham may be doing the same in respect with Hugo Lloris, who turns 34 at the end of 2020.
Strakosha has made 32 appearances for Lazio this season, totalling 154 games since joining the youth setup in 2012. He has helped them to four trophies throughout his career, including the Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italiana.
The 24-year-old has nine league clean sheets, the joint-second highest tally in the division. Only Milan’s Gianluigi Donnarumma has more with 10.
Lazio were victorious in their most recent game, defeating Bologna 2-0 on 29 February. Strakosha kept a clean sheet at the Stadio Olimpico, where the hosts prevailed thanks to goals from Luis Alberto and Joaquin Correa.
