Lennon wants Keane for Celtic... But does Keane want to go?

Neil Lennon has admitted that he would be delighted if Robbie Keane was the man to replace striker supremo Henrik Larsson when the Swede's time at Parkhead comes to end in May. Lennon stated that the club will have to find someone to replace Larsson and that Keane would be an ideal choice. However, Keane would have to want to make the move into the much ridiculed Scottish league and despite the lure of Champions League football it is the prospect of thirty or so games against clubs such as Dunfermline and Livingston (to name but two) that would no doubt hamper any switch.

Keane has already become a hero with the Spurs faitfhul and although he has only scored two league goals this season has been one of the sides most consistent performers. If he were to leave White Hart Lane many heads would roll, but today's link with Celtic can be viewed more as a hopeful plea by Neil Lennon and then discarded as nonsense.
