Love-in with Harry Kane continues as Son Heung-min reaches 100 Tottenham goals

It's official: power couple Son Heung-min and Harry Kane are back on.

The duo shone once again as Tottenham Hotspur bounced back from a couple of disappointing results to hammer Leeds United 3-0 in London, propelling Jose Mourinho's men back into the top four.

Kane opened the scoring with a penalty, before Son and Toby Alderweireld secured the three points either side of half-time. But it was the South Korean who stole the show, rounding off a nice move to double the score, and assisting the final blow.

It was a great win for Spurs, made all the more sweeter by a number of milestones and records broken by Son. The forward hit his 100th goal for the Lily Whites since joining in 2015, a tally which has only been bettered at the club by strike partner Kane - who has notched 169 in that time.

But Kane has got only one man to thank for a lot of those strikes.

It's no secret that this dynamic duo have been living on a wavelength of their own for some time, and their telepathy has only increased each year. In fact, Kane's assist for Son was the 13th time that the pair have linked up to either score or assist this season, setting a new Premier League record, according to Opta.

No two players have ever managed to combine for more goals over the course of an entire campaign - and this duo reached that magic figure in 16 games. Of course, this kind of relationship comes at a price. The pair clearly share a deep connection, and although Kane scored and assisted for Son, it wasn't enough to keep the South Korean happy.

"I'm a bit sad that I couldn't give an assist to Harry today," Son admitted. FPL managers across the country agreed.

Step by step, Sonny, it's not a complete tragedy...

Still, the three points are enough to push Spurs back into contention, as they reach for the stars.
