Jamie Redknapp could be back in action a lot quicker than originally anticipated, with a place in the sqaud against Leicester on Sunday a real possibilty. Redknapp has been out since the 3-1 defeat by Southampton and it was rumoured that he has been playing with pain killers for a while. The former Liverpool and England star damaged cruciate knee ligaments four years ago and had to have major surgery with top American surgeon Richard Steadman. A spokesman for the club confirmed that Redknapp had 'been working well with the physiotherapist and could be ready for the next match'.

David Pleat will definitely be without defender Anthony Gardner who is suspended after picking up his fifth yellow card of the season against Everton and Simon Davies who is still struggling with a hip injury.
