Skipper to return but Defoe is a doubt

Ledley King should be fine to play at Villa Park tomorrow after having to withdraw from England's trip to Croatia as a precaution.

However, Tottenham may have to do without striker Jermain Defoe.

Spurs will be hoping for a third consecutive victory to turn their poor start around.

King said: β€œThe last result (at home to Portsmouth) was a massive win and very important given the two-week break that followed it, it was a must-win game.”

"I had the fluid drained off the knee and since then it has felt a lot better,” he added.

Spurs boss Martin Jol, confirmed: "Ledley King's knee has settled down but Jermain Defoe took a knock to his foot playing for England."
