Souey chops Spurs rumours

Graeme Souness has once again made it clear that he is not the man for the Spurs job. Just days after Glenn Hoddle was sacked, the Blackburn Rovers boss stated that he had received no approach from Tottenham and was going nowhere. This was just minutes before he boarded a flight for Rovers' UEFA cup tie against Turkish side Genclerbirligi, a tie that they ultimately lost 4-2 on aggregate. With only 15,000 fans at Ewood Park to witness the return leg, it would understandable for Souness to want to move to a bigger club, and many would perceive Tottenham to be just that. However, Souness today re-iterated the fact that there had been no contact from Spurs and that he was simply concentrating on trying to win games for Blackburn. The search for a new manager continues.
