Spurs Sign Sean Davis From Fulham

Last updated : 09 July 2004 By Narcissus

Spurs have provisionally signed Sean Davis from Fulham for a small (Undisclosed) fee, subject to Sean passing a medical and agreeing personal terms.

This comes as a blow to the Cottagers but something of a coup for Spurs.

Sean is a combative CM who also posses excellent distribution, but for an injury last season would have been transferred to Everton for considerably more than Spurs paid for him.

At international level he captained the under 21s during the 2000/1 season and has also caught the eye of Seven and was drafted into the squad that played Australia.

Most pundits are of the opinion that he will be and England regular in the near future, presumably challenging Paul Scholes/Nicky Butt for a slot.
