Tottenham Provide Injury Updates on 4 Players as Hugo Lloris Returns to Training

Tottenham have provided updates on a quartet of injured players, but revealed that club captain Hugo Lloris has returned to first-team training.

Jose Mourinho is set to be further starved of a fully fit squad with some key players missing and not set to feature when the club take on Watford at Vicarage Road on Saturday.

Harry Kane became the most high profile absentee for Spurs when it was revealed he would be out until April after undergoing surgery on a torn hamstring. The injury occurred during the club's recent loss to Southampton, but he is just one of many first-team players who are currently sidelined and undergoing treatment.

The club have since confirmed that the striker has commenced the early stages of rehab, as he races to be fit in time for the final stretch of the season and Euro 2020. Meanwhile, another long-term absentee, Moussa Sissoko, has traveled to France with the club's medical team to undergo the early stages of rehab on a knee problem. He too is expected to be out until April.

Fellow midfielder Tanguy Ndombele has been dealing with a hip problem throughout Mourinho's reign in charge, and the club revealed he is in the late stages of rehab, thus likely ruling him out of Saturday's Premier League encounter.

It is a similar situation for left-back Ben Davies, who is in the latter stages of his comeback from an ankle issue. The Welshman has been limited to just six top-flight outings this season with persistent injury problems, and will be a welcome boost to Mourinho's defensively unstable Spurs side.

There is some bright news for the Portuguese boss though, with Lloris returning to first-team training after suffering a dislocated elbow back in early October. Such a serious issue is unlikely to be rushed, however, and Paulo Gazzaniga will retain his place in net against the Hornets.
