Tottenham Told Patson Daka 'Not Interested' in Move to North London

Patson Daka is not interested in a transfer to Tottenham this summer, and would prefer to stay and develop with Red Bull Salzburg for the season ahead, according to the player's agent Freddie Kanouté.

Having loaned out the promising Troy Parrott to Milwall, Spurs are on the lookout for a deputy to Harry Kane for the season ahead. However, as with the majority of clubs in the coronavirus-ravaged financial climate, they're a bit skint, so have had trouble finding one that fits within their budget.

José Mourinho's side have already added Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Joe Hart and most recently Matt Doherty to their ranks, and late last month it was reported that they would continue in that vein of Premier League-based signings with a move for Bournemouth's Joshua King.

All seems to have gone quiet on the front of the Norwegian striker, however, and a trio of new targets emerged on their radar earlier this week - in the form Daka, Napoli's Arkadiusz Milik, and Metz's Habib Diallo.

21-year-old Daka, who was on fire for Salzburg last season, is thought to be their plan A, but the Evening Standard report that he is not interested in a move - and certainly not to play second fiddle to Kane at Tottenham

They say that his agent Kanouté, a former Spurs striker himself, has informed the club that his client does not want to move, and is keen to continue his development in Austria. It's easy to see why he's casual about his future; on Wednesday, he scored four goals in a 10-0 Austrian Cup win over third-tier side Bregenz, showcasing the sort of form that will soon put him on the radar of virtually every club looking for a striker.

On Milik, the Standard add that Napoli's decision to stand firm on their €30m asking price has thrown that deal into jeopardy.

Diallo it is, then...
