The horns are most definitely sounding out at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium at this present time.
Bleak is one word to use, but that insinuates that there is no hope. And that simply isn't true, because after all, there's always the Champions League, right?
Spurs have scored 4+ goals in consecutive #UCL games for the first time in their history.

Ndombele and Lo Celso starting in the same lineup after nearly three months? pic.twitter.com/2M4qS3tdeE

Dele, Son, Lo Celso and Kane. This is the start of something new. #COYS pic.twitter.com/SsULc7Xhyr

He made an early impression, n' all.
Giovani Lo Celso has done more in a Tottenham Hotspur shirt in the space of 10 minutes then which Christian Eriksen managed to produce for Spurs in the 110 minutes he played against Everton.#THFC #COYS #UCL

Spurs looked...relatively OK against their Serbian opponents during the opening 20 minutes, with Lo Celso (can you believe it) showing some good touches in the attacking third as the visitors tried to break through the determined Red Star defence.
And then a chance!!! To Red Star?
Not just any chance at that, an utterly glorious one that resulted in a combination of rubbish finishing from Milan Pavkov and fine goalkeeping by the guy whose name nobody on Twitter could spell.
Spurs should be behind but Yashinniga saves them! #ZVETOT

Good save from the Spurs goalie whose name I won't bother trying to spell
— ashley. (@AshleyWHUFC) November 6, 2019
Great save Gaza! Got away with that one!
— Shay (@ShaySpurs) November 6, 2019
Lo Celso then robbed the Serbian side in the midfield, made a burst towards goal and found Harry Kane...
Who smacked the post.
The ball fell to Son Heung-min...
Who smacked the Red Star player.
The ball fell Dele Alli, then to Kane, then Son again.
Who smacked the crossbar...
It then fell to Lo Celso...
Who smacked the back of the net. Finally!
I swear we had more chances in that 5 secs tha everton, watford and Brighton combined. Anyway welcome to spurs lo celso #thfc #COYS

Spurs been watching too much fifa wtf was that goal
— Rowan (@rowanIfc23) November 6, 2019
Goal of the season from Spurs....for entertainment value
— Matt Gubbins (@mattgubbins) November 6, 2019
Spurs just scored a nuts goal. Post, cleared off the line, penalty shout, cross bar, goal #coys
— Darren Nesbitt (@DazzlerNesbitt) November 6, 2019
And, y'know, mad things like that very rarely happen.
It is so uncommon to see the post and crossbar struck in the same passage of play, it just doesn't....
Oh, never mind. Red Star did it too.
What’s Going On In This Spurs Game 藍藍

What even is this game Red Star Belgrade hit the post and then Davinson Sanchez almost scores a own goal but it hit the crossbar
— #PochIn (@SpursD22) November 6, 2019
And Red Star almost equalise with an equally crazy passage of play as Sanchez plays it onto his own bar after it had come back off the post initially. #UCL

Having not scored in the group stages at all last season, Son did the business once again against the plucky Serbians, firing high into the net after being found by Dele Alli.
Son scores a super goal and goes to the camera and says sorry down the lens, presumably aimed at Andre Gomes. Nice touch.
— Gary Lineker (@GaryLineker) November 6, 2019
With Spurs looking comfortable, the nail was officially hammered into the Red Star coffin just four minutes later as Son finished off a superb flowing move to ensure the 1,200 traveling fans who will make the long trip home will be a happy ol' bunch.
Great goal Spurs. How good is Ndombele!
— Jack Pitt-Brooke (@JackPittBrooke) November 6, 2019
The other two goals have been sublime #Spurs
— Daniel Harper (@Dantastic_1987) November 6, 2019
Some fans were getting rather excited.
It is only Red Star, after all. But you can't begrudge people seeing their side play well.
What a great goal that is.

Are we getting our Spurs back
The game petered out massively from that point on, especially when Pavkov had to leave the field through injury, reducing Red Star to ten men with the hosts having already made all three substitutions.
Which prompted some time to think from the Spurs lot.
'What do we do going forward?', 'Who do we play in the Premier League?'
Some interesting chat emerged.
It appears that when Spurs play their best players, they play better.
— Boo Uncle J (@BadUncleJ) November 6, 2019
Take this lineup and play it against Sheff U and MP will do no wrong by me & i’d think a lot of Spurs fans. Revert back to the dross he has selected recently & he’s as good as gone. So many positives & can only get better with games. Some positivity at last this season.

Better Spurs better
— Andy TTID (@Bytor14) November 6, 2019
Took the sting out of Red Star
GLC playing well and so is Foyth
Team looking as though they want to play
Eriksen has to been kept out
We look like a team so far #coys
I can’t decide which goal is better banter; the first pinball madness or Eriksen scoring 路♂️

Onto the weekend then I suppose, eh Spurs fans?
