Jermaine Jenas also featured for the opening 45 minutes as the pair took part in their first friendly since the World Cup.

In a game we dominated at Woodside Park, Jamie O'Hara was involved in just about everything, including setting up Simon Dawkins for his second goal, before the striker completed his hat-trick in style to complete the rout.

Davelopment coach Clive Allen: "It was the first run for the two internationals and they showed they are in good shape. They've not had the longest of breaks after the World Cup but you could see that they've not lost too much fitness. For the younger lads it's great to be playing alongside the internationals and more senior players and again I've got to say how pleased I am with the attitude and performances that the seniors have put in and the young lads have also shown what they are capable of."

"We carved out a number of chances and were clinical in and around the final third where perhaps we let ourselves down in the first couple of Spurs XI friendlies. The youngsters have seen how important it is to make it count in those areas."

Simon Dawkins: "It's my first match ball. I was delighted when the third goal went in because I knew time was running out. I was pleased with the goals. I followed in Andy Barcham's shot for the first goal, I had to react quickly for the second goal and I was practising the skill for the third goal with Ricardo (Moniz) the skills coach in the morning, so I was pleased with that one! I've scored four goals in three games now in pre-season. I have felt confident and I've matured over the last six months."
